The Escola do Mar dos Açores will, like last year, collaborate again in the 2024 edition with the Atlantis Cup® regatta – Regata da Autonomia, through the support given to the regatta by the Estação Costeira dos Açores.
The collaboration of Escola do Mar dos Açores in the Atlantis Cup® – Regata da Autonomia with the services of the Coastal Station is of special importance for the event. The support provided by the Coastal Station, with its accurate weather information and emergency services, is essential to guarantee the safety of participants during the regatta. This ongoing cooperation highlights the Coastal Station's commitment to being an indispensable link between sea and land, providing vital support and safety to seafarers sailing in Azorean waters, thus contributing to the success and prestige of the Atlantis Cup® as one of the main cruise sailing regattas that take place in the Azores and in the country.
We remind you that a lasting partnership has been maintained between the Azores Coastal Station and the Clube Naval da Horta over the years, established through a Cooperation Protocol. This protocol allows all CNH member vessels to use the services of the Azores Coastal Station if necessary. During regattas and sea races organized by the CNH, the conditions set out in the protocol also apply to other vessels registered in these races, even if they are not members of the CNH.
