The region's and country's biggest cruising sailing event, Atlantis Cup® – Autonomia Regatta, will have João Morais as its Race Director for the 2024 edition.
With vast experience and dedication to water sports, João Morais has been the Race Director in recent years and brings with him a deep knowledge and passion for sailing, which are fundamental to the success of this regatta.
The notoriety that the Atlantis Cup® – Regata da Autonomia has achieved over the course of its editions has helped to promote the Azores and dignify Autonomy. It is one of the main regattas on the national nautical scene, attracting countless sailors, characterized by its competitive spectacularity, along with its leisure aspect that is a symbol of union and cohesion between the different islands of the archipelago, making each port a place of sharing and conviviality.
The Atlantis Cup® – Autonomy Regatta will take place from the 28th of July to the 4th of August and is highly sponsored by the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
