Hugo Pacheco was appointed by the Management of the Clube Naval da Horta as the next director of the magazine Atlantis Cup® – Regata da Autonomia, which this year celebrates its 35th edition.
Member of the general council of Clube Naval da Horta since 2011, Hugo Pacheco was a member of the Board of Directors between 2005 and 2006, Secretary of the Board between 2006 and 2008 and the youngest president elected to the Board of Directors of Clube Naval da Horta, in 2008.
Deeply knowledgeable about the spirit and logistics involved in preparing and holding the Atlantis Cup® – Regata da Autonomia regatta, having been involved in several editions of the same, he was also an active collaborator in previous editions of the magazine that accompanies the holding of what is the largest and most renowned ocean regatta organized in the Azores and which is one of the main regattas on the national nautical scene, attracting countless sailors.
Scheduled to start on July 28th and arrive in the city of Horta on August 4th, the Atlantis Cup® – Regata da Autonomia regatta is highly sponsored by the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
