Coastal Station accompanies Atlantis Cup® 2023 fleet
2Hot2Handle was the fastest in the second ocean stage
The second ocean race of the Atlantis Cup® – Regata da Autonomia 2023, a ligar as ilhas de São Miguel e Terceira, contou com o apoio da Escola do Mar dos Açores e Estação Costeira.
A race marked by wind surges and areas where the only communications with the fleet were carried out by the Coastal Station, which provided meteorological information via radio.
“This partnership with Escola do Mar dos Açores and Estação Costeira is very important for the Atlantis Cup®. It is a new partnership that brings better safety conditions to navigation and transmits useful information, such as meteorology”, explains Frederico Soares, vice-president of Clube Naval da Horta.
