André Azad, with Noctiluca, is the new Azores Regional Cruise Sailing Champion

2Hot2Handle wins Atlantis Cup 2023 in ORC and ANC classes

André Azad, with his Noctiluca, became Azores Regional Cruise Sailing Champion on the island of Faial, where the 2023 edition of the Autonomy Regatta ended.

The Regional Championship was decided in the last regattas held off the city of Horta.

Integrated into the Atlantis Cup 2023, the IX Azores Regional Cruise Sailing Championship is part of the Azores Official Sailing Events Calendar and is responsible for the Azores Regional Sailing Association (ARVA).

2Hot2Handle (António Tânger Corrêa) by winning the last three technical regattas, won the Atlantis Cup 2023 in ORC, followed by Noctiluca (André Azad) and Madeinus (Laurent Pabion).

António Tânger Corrêa's sailboat also won the ANC class. Babsea (Alexandre Couto) finished the competition in second place, followed by Carapau (Bernardo Pinheiro).

Allegro Vivace (Bruno Rosa) finished the Atlantis Cup 2023 with a first place in the OPEN class, followed by the sailboats Air Mail (Luís Decq Mota) and Carapau (Bernardo Pinheiro).

The Atlantis Cup 2023 was organized by the Clube Naval da Horta, in partnership with the Clube Naval de Santa Maria, Clube Naval de Ponta Delgada, Angra Iate Clube and Clube Náutico de Angra do Heroísmo, with the High Patronage of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of Azores.
